Nine Facilities Management employees recently completed their classroom hours and passed their final exams at Charlottesville-Albemarle Technical Education Center (CATEC) and Valley Career and Technical Center.

The completers included eight members of the UVA Apprenticeship Program (listed below) and CC&R Construction and Renovation Services Electrician Assistant Garrett Wagner, who completed the courses on his own.

“All of these students work all day in their trade and then they’ve been going to class for four years in the evenings, so it is quite an accomplishment that should really be celebrated,” said CATEC Apprenticeship & Adult Education Coordinator Debbie Gannon during a virtual ceremony on May 20.
