Maintenance

The Maintenance division provides corrective and preventative maintenance services for over 14 million gross square feet of academic facilities. The skilled staff within Maintenance includes a wide variety of trade professions including carpenters and masons, electricians, elevator technicians, fire safety technicians, locksmiths, plumbers, roofers, HVAC mechanics and historical facilities specialists.

Maintenance work teams are organized in the following groups:

• Specialty Trades Shops — Fire Protection, Elevator Service, Lock Shop and Roofers — which provide services across all zones, including the Medical Center.
• Maintenance Zones — Multidisciplinary crews that are physically located around Grounds to serve specific groups of customers and facilities. Zone managers provide comprehensive facility stewardship throughout their areas, and are the principal customer contact for routine services and departmental support.
