Geospatial Engineering Services

Geospatial Engineering Services provides interactive mapping applications, spatial data analytics, document management and retentions services, utility locating and damage prevention services, and interior space information management services. Through the creation of quality geospatial data, information, and innovative solutions, GES supports efficient operations and informed decision making.

GES Document Management System

GES maintains a searchable collection of over 950,000 documents used to build and steward the maintenance of the buildings and grounds at the university.

GES also provides access for the public to search and request documents from this repository through our OnBase - Public Request Portal. New

UVA Interactive Maps & Apps Gallery

GES maintains the interactive Visitor Map of the University.

In addition, GES provides other interactive mapping solutions that highlight the built environment, property outlines, accessibility, safety, parking, construction projects and wayfinding on Grounds that can be accessed via the ArcGIS Portal.

For employees, additional operations and maintenance mapping applications can be accessed via the employee GES ArcGIS Portal Gallery.
