In an effort to increase interest and education in construction and the building trades among young women, UVA Facilities Management will host its third annual Girls Day set for Thursday, June 14. This year, we are expanding to allow Charlottesville area community members to get involved by registering girls between the ages of 10-16 to participate in various planned activities to show off our work.

We hope to inspire and excite girls to consider a career in construction by offering behind-the-scenes tours of work sites, hands-on activities with our tradespeople and opportunities to hear from our dynamic FM women and what they love about their careers.
