Hoos Speaking receives distinction

Club receives recognition as President's Distinguished Club
Hoos Speaking, a Toastmasters Club sponsored by Facilities Management, recently received recognition as a President's Distinguished Club.
As part of the Distinguished Club Program (DCP), the club worked to achieve set targets known as DCP goals. The DCP emphasizes the following:
- Pathways Education: Members completing educational paths and achieving awards.
- Membership Growth and Retention: Adding new members and keeping current members engaged.
- Club Officer Training: Ensuring club leaders are well-prepared.
- Club Success Plan: Developing and implementing a plan for club improvement.
Of 10 program goals, the club members collaborated to achieve all 10, earning recognition as a President's Distinguished Club.
Hoos Speaking Toastmasters Club provides a safe learning environment where members develop and improve their speaking, communication and leadership skills.
Hoos Speaking meets from noon to 1 p.m. every Wednesday, both in person and virtually, in Skipwith Hall. The club is open to all employees and members of the community. Contact Hoos Speaking for more information.
