Day of Caring Sign-up

Volunteers needed for annual event

Facilities Management will once again be supporting the United Way's Day of Caring event, which is scheduled for Wednesday, September 17, 2025.

FM employees interested in volunteering should sign-up as soon as possible, either by filling out the Day of Caring 2025 Volunteer Sign-up Form or contacting Betty Bowman at 434-982-2822 or bab5k@virginia.edu. The deadline to sign-up is Thursday, Aug. 21, 2025.

Keep in mind the following reminders:

Volunteers need to make sure their supervisor has approved their attendance.
Volunteers will need to provide their own transportation to the site and should plan on arriving at 8:00 a.m. Camp Holiday Trails is located at 400 Holiday Trails Ln, Charlottesville, VA 22903.
In the event you have a transportation need, please reach out to June Bates (jmj7b@virginia.edu).
The day's agenda will be determined by the project team leader.
Lunch will be provided (if you have special dietary restrictions, please note them on the registration form).
Please bring a refillable water bottle (water monster tank will be available for refills)
Team leaders will be notified of date and location for T-shirt distribution/pick-up.
