Organizational Announcements

The renovation of the Customer Support Center in the Leake Building is now complete and includes both the Academic and HSPP Customer Support Center teams. This consolidation of efforts will strengthen the continuity of service for customers and improve overall support operations. On-site support will continue to be provided at HSPP in the team's new office in room G018 (former Procurement office) on weekdays from 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

UVA FM employees can celebrate personal and professional accomplishments by displaying earned badges in their email signature, their workspace and/or on their hardhats and water bottles. If you see the “I'm a Mental Health First Aider” badge, the individual with the badge has completed the Mental Health First Aid Training for Adults. Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training helps participants to identify mental health and substance use problems and develop an action plan to safely and responsibly address these concerns with a friend, colleague, or loved one. More info about this badge and how to take the training is available on the FM website.
Educational & Professional Accomplishments
Brandon Calloway, electronic pneumatic tube system tech for HSPP Zone 1 South, graduated in May 2024 from Virginia Western Community College with an Associates of Applied Science Degree in Technical Studies which was funded through the UVA education benefit.

McCarthy was honored for her work to establish the FM Snack Pantry, to help tackle food insecurity and UVA's goal of reducing waste. Duffy was recognized for his work to convert 13% of FM's Fleet to electric vehicles, earning UVA a top five spot in NAFA's 2023 Green Fleet Awards among university fleets.
Best Wishes to FM Retirees

She rejoined the University in 2002 working in UVA Health for a few years before joining Facilities Management in 2004.
