Facilities Management staff are collecting letters of sympathy for the families of the students who were the victims of the November 13 shooting.

“Many members of our UVA community have asked to be able to express their thoughts and sympathies to the families of the students who were the victims of the November 13 shootings, and we want to be sure you have the opportunity to do so as well,” AVP/CFO Don Sundgren wrote in a recent email to Facilities Management employees.

If you would like to send sympathy cards/notes to the families of Lavel Davis Jr., Devin Chandler and D'Sean Perry, and injured students Mike Hollins and Marlee Morgan, you may drop them off at the following drop-off box locations:

  • FM Lunchroom
  • Hallway outside of HSPP's large conference room (G032 West Complex)

Please indicate the family to whom the note should be directed, and UVA staff will ensure they are delivered. Blank note cards are available at each drop-box location along with free UVA Strong posters that are available for Facilities Management employees.

Letters can also be dropped off at the information desk in the Rotunda or mailed to: Office of the EVP-COO, O'Neil Hall 130, 445 Rugby Rd., P.O. Box 400228, Charlottesville, VA 22904. Items will be accepted on an ongoing basis and mailed to the families as they are received.
