Holiday cards distributed to employees during December
Holiday cards were distributed to all Facilities Management employees during the month of December. The following message was included in the cards.
Dear Facilities Management employees,
We would like to take a moment to thank you for your continued hard work and dedication to the University.
As we navigated our new normal, the lifting of certain restrictions enabled our teams to gather once again with renewed appreciation for the things we had missed.
In recognition of the extraordinary efforts and accomplishments of our employees over the last year, the University has announced a one-time $1,000 year-end bonus for eligible staff (see November 22 email from UVA Human Resources for more details). In conjunction with the Commonwealth of Virginia and UVA leadership, and on behalf of the Facilities Management leadership team, we express our gratitude for the care you take in creating a home for students and a healing haven for patients. The recognition is well-deserved, and we are glad to have this opportunity to express our thanks to each of you.
Recent tragic events have shaken our sense of security and our hearts continue to mourn the loss of promising lives. Thank you for remaining resilient in the face of tragedy and for showcasing what it means to be UVA Strong.
