Inclusive Excellence Team updates

Teams are actively working on the FM Inclusive Excellence Action Plan

The FM Inclusive Excellence (IE) teams are actively meeting to achieve the goals defined in the FM IE Plan based on FM employee feedback from the March 2021 IE Survey. Both the plan and survey results can be found on the FM Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) website.

Access + Success Team

Sonya Swiderski (Finance), Marcus Klaton (Energy & Utilities), and Shawn Anderson (Capital Construction & Renovations)

This team, with Senior Vice President for Operations (SVPO) area Access + Success team members, will meet with FM's Human Resources Business Partners Elsa Burnette and Sarah McComb on July 12 to discuss next steps in building a promotion “tool kit” with a working group of stakeholders that will benefit FM and the SVPO area. After that, the team will build a similar process for creating a hiring “tool kit” for the FM and SVPO area. The goal of these “tool kits” is to promote equity, inclusivity, transparency, and consistency across the two processes.

Climate + Intergroup Team

Nina Green (Health System Physical Plant), Corey Hoffman (Capital Construction & Renovations), Lester Jackson (Operations), and Dana Schroeder (Sustainability)

This team is working to finalize an FM Event Team to begin planning for a fall FM-wide BBQ event as well as future FM-wide appreciation events.

Infrastructure + Investment Team:

Kevin Beal (Landscape), Dennis Bianchetto (Programs & Informatics), Dan Shantler (Systems Control), Ruta Vasiukevicius (Office for the University Building Official)

This team is the latest IE group to start implementing their action plan based on survey responses. The group has held two meetings to date and is working to identify priorities and a timeline for their tasks — stay tuned!
