A group of employees are launching a new club at Facilities Management aimed at improving public speaking and communication.

The new club, Hoos Speaking, is part of Toastmasters International, a nonprofit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs.

A demonstration meeting is set for noon-1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14 in Skipwith Hall, Room 112 (upper-level large conference room). The FM club will then meet weekly from noon-1 p.m. on Wednesdays in the same room with an online option also available to attend virtually.

To sign-up to attend the demonstration meeting, contact Narges Sinaki by emailing ns4xq@virginia.edu.
