- Nathan Henderson, electrician apprentice with Automation Services, is a member of the U.S. National Guard and was called upon to protect our government representatives during the inauguration of our 46th President Joe Biden and 49th Vice President Kamala Harris.

Noted with Regret
- David E. Morris, HVAC installation and repair technician in HSPP Zone 1, died Jan. 5, 2021. He had worked at UVA for more than 30 years and was well-known for showing his Ford Bronco trucks at the annual Ice Cream Social & Car Show every year.
- Gordon Carlton “G.C.” Baird, a retiree of Facilities Management, died Dec. 15, 2020. G.C. retired from UVA after 32 years of service.
- David H. Miller, a retiree of Facilities Management, died Jan. 11, 2021. He was employed by the University of Virginia for 37 years.
