Compliments from Customers

  • Rollie Zumbrunn and Housing Facilities team I wanted to send a quick note to tell you how grateful we are for Rollie and his team. He has been simply amazing during our isolation and quarantine work. We honestly could not do it without him — not just the work his team does (which is often herculean and in real time) but also his positivity and humor. From late night calls and texts to figuring out creative solutions to solve problems we never thought we’d be facing (like converting dorms to isolation space!), he is a true leader and dedicated colleague. I am so grateful and wanted to share this with you. —Marshall Pattie, Assistant Vice President of Student Affairs
  • Don Sundgren and Facilities Management snow removal staff: I’m writing with a note of thanks to you and the entire FM team responsible for keeping the University’s roads and sidewalks clear this weekend (Jan. 30-31) and today (Feb. 1). I’ve heard lots of positive comments about how quickly the team jumped to action after Saturday night’s storm, and I wanted you to know how much I appreciate the hard work that went into making it happen. Please pass my thanks along to the team as well. —James E. Ryan, UVA President
  • Rich Hopkins and Facilities Management snow removal staff: Thanks to you and all the folks who join the crew on snow days to clear roads, sidewalks and entrances to buildings. • Health System Physical Plant snow removal staff: Thank you all for an outstanding response to the snow. Remarkable the difference between UVA cleared areas and non-UVA areas. You and your teams make it safe for our team members to come to work to care for patients and for our patients to safely come for care. I have heard from many members of the UVA and Charlottesville communities how great the snow removal has been this year. —Bush Bell, UVA Health Patient Experience Officer
  • Facilities Management snow removal staff: UVA FM is killing it on the snow removal and safety. Roads, parking lots and sidewalks look great. I’ve been on Grounds since 6:30 a.m. (Feb. 12) and they’ve been moving at a steady clip all morning. MVPs! —Stacey Shippey, RMC Events
  • Health System Physical Plant snow removal staff: Many thanks to you and the HSPP team for the overnight/early morning work to clear the snow and ice for our patients and team members —James R. Carnes, UVA Radiology & Medical Imaging
  • Mark Conner and team: Great job with snow removal, Mark. The majority of spaces were accessible, sidewalks clear and walkways, overall, were very safe. Please pass on thanks from the teams working within Fontaine Building 500 and the patients who were able to make it to their appointments and get in the building safely. Great work! —Thomas M.
