The team is actively meeting to address hiring and promotion practices
The Facilities Management Inclusive Excellence Access + Success team’s work is underway.
Team members Sonya Swiderski (Finance), Shawn Anderson (Sign Shop), and Marcus Klaton (Energy & Utilities) have been actively meeting to bring the first goal in the Access + Success plan to action: “Develop hiring and promotion best practices through an equitable lens.”
Learning sessions for the team are planned with UVA Human Resources at the beginning of 2022, and the team looks forward to recruiting fellow Facilities Management colleagues to join their efforts.
