In preparation for the fall semester, the University has announced additional updates regarding required training and changes to UVA Parking and Transportation services.
All Facilities Management employees have been assigned a Return to Work on Grounds Training Module to complete through Workday. This training is required to be completed prior to the start of the Fall 2020 semester on August 25 and will cover basic safety standards and behavioral expectations. Those completing the training will be required to agree to abide by the outlined safety standards.
Changes to Parking and Transportation services include new options to better accommodate those who are working remotely and do not need to park on Grounds every day. Employees with annual parking permits will receive an email in early August to either renew their annual permit or put the permit on hold for a year.
Annual parking permits remain the best option in the following cases:
For those parking on Grounds less than three days per week, new options are now available including:
Additional changes for the fall semester include new UTS bus routes and the consolidation of some parking lots, including the Facilities Management E1 lot which now includes the W1 lot. The E1 price will apply to both areas.
Detailed information about these changes is available on the UVA Parking and Transportation website.
