WELCOME TO THE RESOURCE CENTER

 |
|
The Resource Center
is a unit of the Administrative Division of the Facilities Planning &
Construction Department serving Facilities Management personnel,
architectural and engineering consultants, School of Architecture students, the
Office of the Architect for the University, and the University community at
large.
OUR COLLECTIONS
The Resource Center currently holds
architectural and engineering drawings and specifications for over 500
buildings. This amounts to a collection of more than 55,000 sheets of
drawings and 4,800 specifications, studies, maintenance manuals, shop
drawings, and construction submittals.
The collection also contains numerous maps and
aerial photographs of the University Grounds, Charlottesville, and Albemarle
County. In addition, the Resource Center Library collection includes many
general reference manuals such as
Historic Preservation
Resources,
FP&C Design Guidelines,
Facility Audits,
and University
Master Plans.
The Resource Center collection is open to
consulting architectural and engineering firms, contractors, all University
personnel, and architecture and engineering students. |
INFORMATION ACCESS
The entire collection has
been catalogued and the database is searchable by keyword or building
name. The public version of this catalog can be accessed at this location
on the web:

Users can view the list of available drawings and contact us to request the files
or email us for assistance at fm-resource-center@virginia.edu.
WE ARE DIGITAL
The Resource Center collection has been
scanned into universally accessible .tiff and .pdf formats. These
files can generally be provided the same day the request is made.
CAD FILE AVAILABILITY
Our Design Guidelines require Record
Drawing submittals to include the AutoCAD files in addition to the printed
documents. Our collection of CAD files available to A&E firms continues to
grow.
