What is an Inforum?
Facilities Planning and Construction
(FP&C) presents Design & Construction
Inforum 2012.
This is an opportunity for Architectural
and Engineering consultant firms, construction
managers, contractors, subcontractors, and
others to meet the staff of the
Facilities Planning and Construction
Department at the University of Virginia.
The Academic Division, Health System
Division, Engineering and Design Division,
Office of the University Building
Official, Office of Contract Administration,
and FP&C Management desire to meet you
and your staff. Our goal is to establish
positive relationships and enhance our
mutual design and construction concerns.
How does the Inforum work?
FP&C will have specific conversational
areas for each of the operational divisions.
Through the use of displays, renderings,
charts, models, schedules and computer
programs, they will share the current and
future capital programs of the University.
The Information Exchange
FP&C intends to provide you will
all of the information regarding
the University of Virginia's
present and future Planning and
Construction Programs. Included
will be the forms, procedures and
schedules currently in use. In
addition, you and your firm are
welcome to distribute any marketing
information you may have regarding
your firm to UVa.

Networking
You will be given the opportunity to
meet with our staff, and the Inforum will also
facilitate an opportunity for firms to
network with each other as well as subconsultants. The University will provide
light refreshments. You are encouraged
to come between 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
and remain as long as you desire.
It's always good to meet the person behind
the voice you hear on the phone. We hope
that you will be able to attend this event
and meet the members of our staff.
Since we want this to be fun as well as
informative, we will need your help to
make it a success. We are looking forward
to seeing you at the Inforum 2012.
