The 12,500 gsf ITC data center is a two-story, concrete block
structure with masonry and metal panel exterior walls and a large
equipment yard screened with metal panel walls. It's designed to
accommodate both the current and foreseeable computing needs of the
University.
The data center houses a 5,500 gsf computer server room, as
well as mechanical and electrical equipment support spaces,
shipping/receiving area, telecommunications room, work room and one
restroom.
Site-related programmatic elements include an equipment
yard and a service drive. The equipment yard
contains a cooling tower, two air-cooled chillers, a generator, a
transformer and switch gear. The service drive provides
access for equipment delivery and maintenance.
This project is located in an area designated for growth
of support services for the University, approximately 1.5 miles west
of the Academic Village.
