The University of Virginia values the commitment and institutional knowledge of long-time employees and honors dedicated service to the University.

Each June employees with 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50 or more years of service are recognized by University Human Resources (UHR) with a festive dinner ceremony, certificates noting their years of service and commemorative gifts bearing the University logo.

In May employees with 10, 15 or 20 years of service are recognized individually with a ceremony, certificate and reception sponsored by UHR.
